Throughout the history of the music industry, several people have worked together to become some of the greatest musicians in history. Jesy Nelson was born on June 14, 1991 to her parents, John Nelson and Janice White in Romford, London. She is the second child in the Nelson family who had two girls and two boys. As for her ethnicity, it is believed that she is white.
Today she could be seen as an international music star but life for Jesy was difficult growing up due to body weight issues and the fact that her parents separated when she was five years old. Her mother had to raise four children alone on a salary as a Police Community Service Officer. This caused the Nelsons to move home from home because they could not keep up the rent payment. Despite the challenges of her family life, Jesy Nelson was able to complete her formal education, which began at Jo Richardson Community School, Abbs Cross Academy and Arts College, and the Sylvia Young and Yvonne Rhodes Theater Schools.
It was in these schools that her talents began to manifest as the singer and decided to take her for a show on one of the biggest singing platforms in the world – The X Factor in 2011. Unfortunately, Jesy couldn’t grow beyond the audition as a solo artist , but was considered good enough to be part of a group, Rhythm Mix.
Rhythm Mix later became Little Mix, but first they needed to scale up their performances on The X Factor’s live shows and they made it notable. Her performance of songs like If I Were a Boy helped Little Mix become the first group to win The X Factor.
Jesy Nelson has spent most of her life being bullied for her height. From the start of school age to adulthood, she has been ridiculed and ridiculed for her height, but in Little Mix she has found a group of people who love her as a person and her talents more than her body image.
