Jesse Chambers, who serves as the president of the Terre Haute local police department, is receiving a lot of flak for his inhumane behavior towards an animal who was only protecting his owner’s house.
The viral video that showed Chambers kicking a dog violently was shared by the house owner on Reddit and Twitter. As per her post, someone broke into her house when she and her family were not at home.
Yesterday evening while my family and I were at work, someone broke into my home. My dogs ran the intruder off. This was the response shortly after a neighbor called. My home needed help and all it received was hurt. #AnimalCruelty pic.twitter.com/0tnNbSulod

Their dog actually chased off the intruders and protected the house. The neighbors were alerted and reported the incident to the police.
Jesse Chambers and another unnamed officer responded to the call and came to check out the scene. When Chambers walked toward the house, the dog barked at him.
The officer then marched towards the dog and abused him violently to the point that the dog ran off from the house. The video showed that it was snowing at the time, which probably made the situation worse for the poor animal.
