Jennie Garth reprised her beloved character Kelly Taylor in September 2008 for the series debut of The CW’s spin-off series 90210. Kelly Taylor is a Guidance Counselor at the fictitious West Beverly High School, where her half-sister Erin Silver attends.
Her character was reintroduced with a four-year-old son, the father of whom is her ex-boyfriend Dylan McKay. The show’s writers were eager to reunite Garth with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh again.
Garth has worked on a variety of commercial projects in addition to her acting career. She published a fitness video called Body In Progress in 1993.

Jennie Garth, who was born in Urbana, Illinois, is the youngest child of John and Carolyn Garth, who were also her only parents. She spent a lot of time on a 25-acre horse ranch between Sadorus and Arcola, Illinois, where she was raised.
When Garth was about 13 years old, the family moved from Tuscola, Illinois, where they had been temporarily residing, to Glendale, Arizona. Randy James, a Hollywood scout, and manager, noticed her in a local talent competition after she acquired a passion for dance and started modeling.
Garth began her high school career as a freshman at Greenway High School before transferring to Apollo High School in her second year.
She would get audition materials from Los Angeles and work on them under the direction of Jean Fowler, a local acting instructor, motivated by her desire to become an actor.
Garth decided to quit school in her sophomore year and travel to Los Angeles to work with Randy James in order to pursue her acting dreams. She then completed her high school education in California.
She has appeared in infomercials promoting products such as the Keurig Vue beverage brewer and the Wen healthy hair care system over the years. Garth has also appeared in commercials for migraine headache medication and the RAINN Crisis hotline.
Notably, she appeared in a Wish-Bone salad dressings print campaign in 2004 as part of their $25,000 Kitchen Makeover contest. In addition, she appeared in a television advertisement for the iconic clothing company Old Navy with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars Luke Perry and Jason Priestley in 2012.
Garth has also appeared on the covers of Veronica, TV Guide, Woman’s World, Health, Entertainment Weekly, Cookie, Sassy, Soap Opera Digest, and People.

She recently spoke with Health magazine and discussed her amazing weight loss of 30 pounds. Garth told the magazine, “I’ve been working out extremely hard. “I’ve been working out with weights three times a week with a trainer.” Her secret is a healthy diet and five days of exercise each week.
