Jeff Fillion From Radio X Is Leaving The Show & Here Is Why

Jeff Fillion, the contentious Radio X presenter, is leaving his microphone for CHOI FM today, Friday. But why is he leaving?

Jeff Fillion will depart from Radio X sooner than anticipated.

CHOI Radio X stated on Thursday that he will broadcast his final program on Friday, April 29, rather than continuing on the radio station until the end of August as initially promised.

“By mutual agreement, RNC and Jeff Fillion have finally decided that he will present his farewell program on CHOI RADIO X’s radio broadcasts today,” Philippe Lefevre, Vice President of RNC Media, the company that controls the station, revealed in a press statement.

Jeff Fillion From Radio X Faced An Accident?

People began to speculate about the cause for Jeff Fillion’s resignation from Radio X as soon as his departure was announced on the internet. Following his departure, a slew of rumors and tales surfaced.

Some speculate that he may be suffering from health problems, while others speculate that the radio personality was involved in an accident.

To the best of our knowledge, Jeff Fillion is in good health, and his exit is not due to an accident or sickness.

Reason Behind Radio Host Departure From The Show

On April 14, Jeff Fillion announced his resignation from Radio X, where he had worked for the last 20 years. The station’s owner, RNC Media Inc., and the host were unable to reach an agreement on the conditions of a new contract, causing the latter to quit.

He also declared that the daily show he presents on radiopirate.com, the online station he started, will be continued at that time.

Reportedly, when his contract with Radio X was formally ended on April 14, he declared on his Internet radio that he would focus on the future.

However, on Thursday, Radio X revealed that Jeff Fillion would conduct his final program on the station on Friday, over four months ahead of schedule.

Who Is Jeff Fillion’s Replacement?

According to sources, Yannick Marceau will take up Fillion’s role from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. from now until the start of the new autumn program, with the help of Patricia Vincent and François Garipe.

The facts concerning Jeff’s departure after his arrival at CHOI in 1996 may be difficult for Jeff’s fans to comprehend. In 1998, the station was renamed Radio X and reorganized.

In 2005, Jeff Fillion departed CHOI FM for the first time after facing legal actions and several objections to the CRTC. After a two-year tenure at Énergie 98.9, which ended in turmoil, he returned to the station in 2016.
