So, is Talia Mallay a fictional character, or is she based on Jayma Cardoso, a Brazilian-born businesswoman?
Many people believe Mallay is based on Jayma Cardoso, the owner and designer of the Snow Lodge and Aspen Surf Lodge.
On September 1, 2014, Anna Delvey tagged Jayma Cardoso in the caption of a photo of a woman on a yacht in Ibiza on her Instagram account.
This was one of the main reasons many assumed Jayma and Anna were related, and Talia Mallay was based on her.

Cardoso is still one of the Lodge’s partners.
