He was also accused of posting racist and homophobic tweets.

After hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed he was leaving. His spokesperson confirmed the news . He said:

“In the last few days Jack has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to. Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.”

Jack later made a YouTube video where he took responsibility of his actions and apologized.

“I’m sorry to anyone that I upset, anyone that I offended, anyone I made feel uncomfortable…Growing up I was all over social, my entire life was on social media an through that it led to be my job. I’ve tweeted some bad things, some horrible things, that I’m just ashamed of.” He said.

Jack Maynard and Toffolo

Jack Maynard and Georgia Toffolo popularly known as Toff met at the set of ‘I’M A Celebrity’ but they had previously met in a club before the show. Jack left the show after only three days when his 2012 tweets that contained homophobic and racist slurs came to light.

After Toff became the Queen of the Jungle the two reunited with even Jack featuring Toff on his youtube channel and posting photos of them in his Instagram account while on dinner dates and game dates. People began speculating that they were dating although it’s not clear if they are in a romantic relationship.

Jack on his channel did a ‘Relationship Test’ video featuring Toff and when Jack asked her if she shipped Joff Toff replied: “I’m not sure if I ship Joff, your hand is on my knee and it needs to get off.”

When Jack shot another question of who is the ‘better human being’ Toff replied, “What, in our friendship?”

In August 2018 when Jack appeared on ‘Good Morning Britain’ he was quizzed about his relationship with Toff where he said;

“Me and Toff, you know, spend a lot of time together, we’re really good friends, we get on really well.”

Jeremy (the host) pushed him asking: “Why are you going red? Come on, I asked you, are you and Toff in a relationship?”

Jack said: “No we’re not in a relationship we’re just getting on really well, we’ve been spending lots of time together and enjoying our time together.”

Jeremy was not satisified with the answer and pushed harder asking if there maybe a future between them

“Would you like to be in a relationship with her?” to which Jack replied “Who knows what the future holds, we’ll have to see.”

Jack Maynard News: Why Jack Maynard left I’m A Celebrity 2017

Source: The Sun UK

On 21 November 2017, Ant and Dec shocked viewers by saying Jack had left the show at the start of that night’s show.

As the pair made the announcement, a spokesperson for the YouTube star released a statement confirming Jack was leaving the jungle.

It said: “In the last few days Jack has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.

“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.”

It then emerged that as well as racist and homophobic tweets Jack had sent he had also begged a 14-year-old fan to send him nude pictures.

According to the Mirror, the YouTube sensation, told her that her “boobs are so nice” and “would look good in a bra shot” but later branded her a “bore” and “ugly freak”, when she refused to share pictures.

The messages were reportedly sent from Jack’s Facebook account – which has since been taken down – in December 2011, when he was 17.

Speaking about the incident, the girl said: “He was 16, I was 14. It was something that happens to everyone.

“I never once felt harassed. We were kids, it’s not once harmed me at all in any way. It’s in the past. It is a serious allegation to make, but you’re a kid, you make mistakes.

“He didn’t know how old I was, and I didn’t know how old he was at the time. I cannot stress enough that the messages were harmless.”

The Sun also uncovered that Jack once made a creepy YouTube video where he and his brother guessed the age of teenage girls.

How has Jack responded since he left the jungle?
Following a number of damaging stories in the press, Jack broke his silence on the scandal by releasing an emotional YouTube video.

Speaking on his 23rd birthday he said: “I’m sorry to anyone that I upset, anyone that I offended, anyone I made feel uncomfortable.

“Growing up I was all over social, my entire life was on social media an through that it led to be my job.

“I’ve tweeted some bad things, some horrible things, that I’m just ashamed of.

“I never wanted to make anything like this, I feel like I’ve let you guys down so much, I was young, I was stupid, I was careless I just wasn’t thinking.”

On March 1, 2018 Jack explained on GMB about what had happened when he was told by producers that he had to leave the jungle.

He said: “It was pretty horrible, it was quite scary to be honest as I got taken out first thing in the morning, I didn’t know what was going on.

“I went to the medical hut to be greeted by the producers who didn’t really tell me much at the time and said there had been some accusations and they had to take me out of the show.

“I was panicking; I didn’t know what was going on.”

The Sun exclusively revealed a series of tweets by Jack when the show started.

In one racist tweet, posted online in June 2011, he said he was “At alices with my n****s!” He also repeatedly calls people “retards”.

In another post he tweeted pics of people with deformities with comments “in his prime” and “Ahahahaha! Sooo funny!” On one image of a black man with bulging eyes he added: “looking greatttt!!”

As the ITV show launched, Jack admitted the words he used were “inflammatory” and “insulting”.

Immediately following the emergence of his tweets a spokesman for Jack said: “Jack is ashamed of these tweets, many were deleted a long time ago.

“He would never use that language now and realises this kind of retaliatory, inflammatory, insulting language is completely unacceptable.”
