Is Scott Grimes Leaving Orville?

No Scott Grimes is not leaving Orville anytime soon. The Orville: New Horizons, also known as Season 3 of Seth MacFarlane’s live-action sci-fi series, is now available on Netflix.

Grimes emphasized that The Orville: New Horizons’ new approach is more in line with what his colleague desired. Not only that, but Grimes expresses gratitude that the program took that turn following its departure from Fox.

Grimes went on to explain why he’s “pleased” with the show’s current vision, and why it’s necessary that things are handled this way now.

“I am overjoyed that, for one thing, he gets to perform the program he wants to do, because why would he do it otherwise? He is not required to work. He’s doing it because he wants to express something and because he’s a fantastic writer.”

He also took it to Twitter and Instagram to promote his show and thanked his supporters. He wrote, “Thank you all for your overwhelmingly excellent feedback on this week’s @TheOrville.”

“It was a lot of fun to build, and I’m thrilled people can finally see what took us 19 1/2 years to develop.”

He also wrote, “This week’s @theorville episode is my favorite!! It contains everything I like about the future, space exploration, and science fiction! You’ll be glued to your sofa!.”

If you haven’t seen the episode yet, be sure to give your feedback on it.

The premiere of The Orville: New Horizons demonstrated that the show is willing to tackle the most serious of topics.
