The drive-by shooting happened on the morning of Friday on the 17th of September 2021 as he was leaving the studio. Although not confirmed, reports say that he got shot five times.

His attorney had words to say to the Dallas Police Department for sharing wrong information about Spotemgottem regarding an ongoing murder case. The attorney even said that the plans for filing a lawsuit against the department are there.
The misunderstanding about the rapper stemmed from his live stream rap video. Det. Belew thought that live stream was about Reginald Agnew Jr’s death.
