Cornelius Baker’s girlfriend Patricia Roosa is incarcerated in jail presently. She is trending significantly at the present moment in the public domain after pleading for clemency via Change.org.

The petition posted by Yuri Antoine reads, ‘Hello, my name is Patricia Roosa, and I’m serving life in prison currently for a murder I didn’t commit.’ So far, out of the 10k goal, over 9k signed the petition.

Previously, the Flagler County judge convicted Patricia Roosa of first-degree murder, armed kidnapping, several robberies, and burglary. The court sentenced her to death after a separate trial.

Now, 36-year-old Roosa regrets that she was a part of the crime that led to her incarceration. She said, ‘I regret ever going along with my then boyfriend, Baker. I never thought a wrong choice would lead me to spend the rest of my life in prison.’

Baker was a criminal, Roosa says, who manipulated her. She added, ‘Baker was a criminal, and I was a young girl that had no experience with this type of love before, but he knew that and used that to his advantage.’

That morning, Baker hit Elizabeth with his pistol, and the bullet went into Elizabeth’s head, causing a nasty but non-fatal wound. Roosa searched the valuables in the house while Cornelius held the family at gunpoint.

Uptagrafft offered the love birds her Bank of America ATM card and the pin so they could leave and withdraw the money. Cornelius kidnapped her to withdraw the money if she gave them the wrong pin.

Roosa begged her boyfriend Baker not to kill Elizabeth Uptagrafft before he fatally shot her twice after he dropped Elizabeth off and drove a few feet before stopping the car and getting off.

The law held Patricia accountable for Uptagrafft’s murder under the Felony Murder law regardless of Baker’s assertions. Baker said, ‘Only thing I care about in life is my daughter, and I care about my girlfriend.’
