Known by the ring name Jason Jordan, Nathan Everhart is a professional wrestler who currently performs on World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.’s (WWE) Raw brand. The former amateur wrestler was sent to WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) after signing a contract with the company in 2011, before making his NXT debut in 2012.
In 2017, the internet, as well as the wrestling community was completely outraged when professional wrestler and actor Kurt Angle revealed that Jason Jordan was his son. Although it turned out to be fiction, two questions remained unanswered in the minds of many. The first is; if Kurt isn’t Jason’s dad, then who is? and the second is how is Jason Jordan related to Kurt Angle? Read on to find answers to these questions.
Brief Biography – Early Life
Jordan was born in Tinley Park, Illinois on September 28, 1988. His love for the game of wrestling dates back to his childhood days. He started out as an amateur wrestler, which he considered professional wrestling.
In high school, he played football, baseball and also competed in wrestling. During his years at Indiana University, he also participated in the Big Ten conference and later became a three-time national qualifier at the Division I level.
While still in college, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry, social sciences, and medicine, Jason was ranked in the top 15 in the nation three times in a row. In one of the rankings, he finished second with the heavyweights weighing in at 225 pounds while competing in the 285-weight weight class, thus using his speed and agility to defeat bigger opponents.
At the height of his life, he was virtually undefeated in the regular season recording up to 35-0. At one point during his college years, he worked as a student trainer, training two people: a 197lb heavyweight and a heavyweight. After graduating, he left dental school to pursue a career as a professional wrestler.
Professional career
Nathan Everhart was discovered in college by Gerald Brisco, a WWE agent on the road, who recruited him for a WWE tryout in 2010. After the tryout, he was offered a contract with WWE, which he signed after college.
After signing the contract in 2011, he was sent to the developmental territory of Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where he took the ring name Jason Jordan. He made his first professional appearance on September 30, in a match he teamed with Abraham Washington against Calvin Raines and Big E Langston.
His first appearance in a televised match was in November of the same year, when he teamed with Colin Cassady and Mike Dalton against The Ascension. They lost the game. He continued to appear on FCW, the brand was replaced by NXT, and he debuted on the rebranded platform in 2012.
Prior to appearing on NXT, Jordan alongside CJParker won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship in a live event which made him the holder of the FCW Tag Team Championship before the brand was eventually deactivated and replaced by NXT.
In 2015, Jason and Chad Gable formed a tag team they called American Alpha, before being recruited to SmackDown and subsequently winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
American Alpha (AA) finally disbanded in 2017 when Jordan made his first appearance on the Raw brand as the son of the brand’s general manager, who happened to be Kurt Angle.
To this day, Jason Jordan remains the first and indeed the only man to win the NXT Tag Team, SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Championships. He also holds the FCW Tag Team Championship. His video game debut was in WWE 2K17, he also appeared in WWE 2K18 as a playable character.

Is Jason Jordan related to Kurt Angle?
On a July 2017 episode of Raw, brand manager Kurt Angle revealed Jason Jordan as his long-lost son. The mysterious story of Kurt Angle is as follows: Kurt during his college years at Clarion University in Pennsylvania dated a young girl whom he broke up with after a brief fling, unaware that she got pregnant for him and finally had a baby boy.
Angle only knew about his son who happens to be Jason through his ex-girlfriend who had given up the child to be adopted. Jordan, after finding out he was adopted, hired a private investigator to find his real parents. The private investigator would in turn discover that Jordan’s real mother was Angle’s college sweetheart and that Angle was his real father.
Sounds convincing, right? Well, that’s actually not the case. Kurt may be Jason Jordan’s father professionally, but certainly not in reality as the two are not biologically related in any way. The story is simply one of those stories told in pro wrestling to spice up the whole game. It was actually, based on this story, that Jordan was transferred to the Raw brand, disbanding the American Alpha .
Who are Jason Jordan’s father and family members?
Finding out Jason and Kurt’s story was only fictional, many kept asking, who is Jason’s real father then and who are his family members? Although there is not so much information about his father, there is evidence online that proves that Kurt Angle is not his real father at all.
In 2014, Jason’s wife, April Everhart, posted a photo of her husband and father on her Instagram with the caption “Father & Son” and her stepfather in that photo is definitely not Kurt Angle.
Jason told the Miami Herald that his father, mother and other family members watched him win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in December 2016.
He has three brothers with whom he revealed to ESPN that he has always been close and has had his ups and downs.
The WWE star has been married to April Elizabeth since March 2017. April owns the company NE styles.
