Maksim Chmerkovskiy got arrested in his home country due to the Russian invasion. He posted a nearly five-minute video on Instagram on February 28 and told his followers that he got arrested in Ukraine.
In the video, he revealed that there are a lot of fighting, and at one point he got arrested. He promised that all is good now and revealed that he has a lot to unpack emotionally. However, he is not in a mental state to do that right now.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Chmerkovskiy has made his way out of Ukraine on a train. He posted on Instagram that he was en route to Warsaw, Poland.
