Drew Carey is a famous American comedian, actor, and sports show host. He initially made a name for himself in stand-up comedy while serving in the US Marine Corps and later started his own sitcom, ‘The Drew Carey Show’.
He also hosted the American version of the show, ’Whose Line is it Anyway’, which was aired on ABC. He has since appeared in many television series, movies, music videos, and even computer games.
Carey proposed to Nicole Jaracz in 2007 and is a father figure to Connor, her son from a previous relationship. The couple did not wed and called off their engagement in 2012. In January 2018, Carey announced his engagement to sex therapist Amie Harwick.
The couple called it quits less than a year. Sadly, in 2020, Amie Harwick was found dead after she, unfortunately, fell off a balcony in her home. Allegedly, she had a fight with her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, who was then arrested, but he pled not guilty to her murder.
The autopsy showed she had been strangled first. Drew Carey was absolutely devastated by the news of his ex-fiancée’s death. So heartbroken that he halted his famous show The Price Is Right for a while to take a break and grieve. He called her a positive force in his life and always adored her well. She was known to be very kind and passionate about her work as a therapist.
