However, things turned out pretty bad after the woman suffered severe complications due to the failure of understanding and lack of experience of the working doctor.
Eventually, Peta lost her life in the company’s attempt to put ‘profits over patients’, as termed by judge McGregor.

Peta Hickey was a Melbourne-based mom and a successful executive who died from multiple organ failure in 2019.
In May of 2019, she underwent a heart scan which was advised by the company, in an organized program with a medical center.
She didn’t have any health concerns or diseases at the time but had problems with allergies.
But the inexperienced doctor completely ignored the available information about her allergy and performed the procedures.
Furthermore, DailyMail reports that it was Dr. Gavin Tseng, during the program, who performed the CT scan that used contrast dye.
Due to the dye used in the scan, Hickey suffered from fatal allergic reactions which eventually led to other problems.
Even though she was admitted to the hospital, Hickey died due to an organ malfunction on May 9.

Peta Hickey was happily married to her husband, Richard Hickey, and had a beautiful family.
The Hickey couple had two children and was relishing being in a sweet family.
But a rather profit-oriented campaign, filled with inexperienced personnel, became the end of that delight.

The actual death cause of Peta Hickey was multiple organ failure that happened due to fatal allergic complications.
