Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Indian Visa.
- A Somalia passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- A well completed and signed visa application form is required.
- For minor applicants, the parents or legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Passport-size photographs (2 x 2” dimension) taken in a light background.

- Somalia citizens with the intention to go for sightseeing in India can apply for a tourist visa.
- Asides sightseeing, casual visits to meet friends and relatives, no other activities are permissible on a tourist visa.

- The following persons are not eligible to apply for a tourist visa and must apply for the Entry Visa instead:
- Person of Indian origin.

- India medical visa is for foreigners visiting India for medical treatments.
- A dully signed and stamp Invitation letter with contact details, from the hospital/medical Institute in Indiaspecifying the nature of the medical treatment to be undertaken along with the start and end date of this treatment.
- Up to two attendants who are blood relatives are allowed to accompany the applicant to India.
- The relatives are required to obtain a separate medical attendant visa, and it will validate the same date as the medical visa principle.
- The treatment sought should be significant in nature.
- List of ailments mostly considered for a medical visa includes: neurosurgery, ophthalmic disorders, heart-related problems and organ transplantation.
- The initial duration of the visa is up to a year or the period of the treatment, whichever is less. The visa will be valid for a maximum of 3 entries during the one year.
- The visa duration starts on the day of issuance, and not on the day of entry into India.
- Applicants are required to provide proof of relationship with those they intend to travel with.
