Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Icelander Visa.
- Passport with a validity of more than six months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
- Visa application form completed and signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
- Original copy of bank statement from the past six months prior to the period of visa application.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.

Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of visiting Iceland for recreation, relaxation, and sightseeing.
- Foreigners who are also visiting Iceland to take part in short term business activities are also eligible for this visa.
- For you to be granted this visa for business purposes, there must be an actual commercial relationship between the host company and the inviting company.
- The purpose of the applicant’s visit must be related to the applicant’s line of business in Egypt.
- Foreigners who have the intention of living with their spouse, cohabiting partner or other family member in the country can also apply for this visa.
- Applicants of this visa should note that they are not allowed to work unless the Immigration Service has explicitly granted them the right to.
- Foreigners cannot enroll in any of the academic institutions in the country.
- A document which shows that the applicant of this visa has the intention of leaving the country on or before the visa expires.
- Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
- Minors should ensure they are in possession of the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor is also required.

Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in the country.
- Foreigners must have been accepted into an educational institution before they are granted this visa.
- A letter of acceptance printed on the institution’s letterhead stating the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study programme.
- The educational institution must be publically accredited and must offer a full-time study.
- Applicants who have completed a higher educational programme in Iceland will be granted a 6-month residence permit to look for employment.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided during the visa application process.
- Certificates and transcripts of the previous institutions attended by the applicant is required.
- Foreign students are not allowed to work during the duration of their study programme.
Iceland Work Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- Work Visa is issued to foreigners who have been offered employment by an employer in Iceland.
- Before initiating the visa application process, the applicant must ensure that they have been offered employment in Iceland.
- The employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee which states the terms of employment should be provided.
- Researchers who have been offered employment at a research institute or company in Iceland are free to apply for this visa.
- Proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage paid to other Icelanders is required.
- If you do not have the qualification that matches the job you have been offered, you will not be issued this visa.
- Foreigners can do unpaid voluntary work while they are in the country.
- If you are offered a new job, you must apply for a new permit. This also applies if you are offered a new position within the same company.
- A copy of your resume or CV should be provided.
