How to write a pen pal letter

Writing the very first letter is similar. Help your child think about what he’d say if he were meeting his pen pal face-to-face. To introduce himself, he might tell his age and some of his interests. He could write about favorite hobbies, favorite subjects in school, and how he likes to spend his free time.

You are more than likely to be ghosted by a great many people that you try to start a pen–pal friendship with than come to harm from a pen pal.

Pen pals (or penpals, pen–pals, penfriends or pen friends) are people who regularly write to each other, particularly via postal mail. Pen pals are usually strangers whose relationship is based primarily, or even solely, on their exchange of letters.
