How to watch netflix from other countries

The simplest way to change Netflix region is by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). A VPN tunnels your internet traffic through an intermediary server located in a country of your choice. It can mask your real IP address and replace it with one from your chosen country, thus spoofing your current location.

Netflix is available in over 190 countries around the world. Each country has its own catalog of original and licensed TV shows and movies. The country on your account can’t be changed unless you move to a new one. If you have moved recently, see Traveling or moving with Netflix for details.

The bottom line is that Netflix may block you when using a VPN, but you will not get into any trouble for trying, you will not get your Netflix account canceled, and it is most certainly not in any way illegal! A lot of VPN services fail to unblock Netflix, so it’s important to choose the right service.

SurfShark found that Netflix in the United States has the most titles overall—5,879 movies and shows—while Canada has the biggest catalog of movies, at 4,043 films.

Because NordVPN allows you to watch any Netflix library anywhere in the world, Netflix blocks NordVPN IP addresses from connecting to its service. These blocks are why NordVPN has suddenly stopped working with Netflix.

NordVPN is able to access over a dozen regional libraries including Netflix US, UK, Japan, Australia, and Canada. Better still, it works both in a browser and using the iOS and Android apps. … However, if you’re not using a server in a supported region, NordVPN uses a DNS proxy to return the US version of Netflix.

NordVPN costs $11.95 per month or $119 annually. The company lists its annual plan at a discounted rate of $59, but you’ll pay $119 when the subscription comes up for renewal. NordVPN sometimes offers other plans at different introductory rates.

DNS server location mismatches reveal VPN use

Another way that Netflix detects and blocks VPN use is through checking for conflicts between IP addresses and DNS (Domain Name Server) settings. On some devices, often those running iOS or Android, the Netflix app may override your DNS setup, exposing your real ISP server.

VPNs are entirely legal in the UK

It’s perfectly legal to use a VPN to enhance the security on your internet connection. You can also use one to bypass simple geographical restrictions set forth by streaming and torrenting services.

The reason you are seeing this message is because either Netflix blocked your IP (or rather the IP of your VPN server), or because your VPN provider doesn’t work with Netflix. Netflix blocks hundreds, if not thousands, of IP addresses that belong to VPNs. For this reason, very few VPNs actually work with Netflix.
