Can I wash a bean bag with beans in it?
You can usually open them up and remove the beans – the cover will then go in the washing machine. Don’t try and wash the whole thing – the beans are often made of polystyrene, and will just dissolve in the machine. If not, white vinegar is good – sloosh it on, scrub it in, leave it out in the sun to dry.

Using a Dustpan and Broom
- Spray ‘anti-static’ spray over the beans. This can be purchased from any shopping centre.
- If you don’t have this, then a sprinkling of Bi-Carb Soda over the beans is the next best option.
- If you don’t have either of these, spraying (as fine as possible) water over the beans will do.
