To Turn on Camera on a Mac:

Open Finder on your Mac, click on the Applications folder, and select Photo Booth. As soon as Photo Booth starts, the LED next to the built-in iSight camera should turn on, informing you that the camera is activated.

Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Screen Time. Click Content & Privacy in the sidebar, then click Apps. Make sure the checkbox for Camera is selected. If you need to use your camera with an app in the list, make sure the checkbox for Limits is not selected.

You can‘t make changes to Camera Setting on a Mac. However, you can use software such as CamTwist to add functionality to your Mac Camera. CamTwist appears as an additional webcam on all apps (except FaceTime). And you can change aspect ratio, brightness, contrast and other settings.

To do so, open the app on your Mac, click the video call option (ensure you’ve given the app permission to access your camera) then click on the cog icon in the upper-right corner to access the settings menu. In here, select the Bandwidth tab, then change the Outgoing video so that Up to 702p (HD) is enabled.

Both the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro come with a built-in FaceTime camera, the new name for the iSight camera. MacBooks also come with Photo Booth, a tool that enables you to take photos and record videos with the FaceTime camera, by default.

To take a screenshot, press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 3. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot.

To start with, go to the “Apple” menu and then, navigate to “System Preferences”. Next, tap on “Keyboard” and next, tap on the “Shortcuts” tab. After that, tap on the “Screenshots” option from the left side of the window. Finally, make sure that all options here are check or active.

The Shift key ⇧ Shift is a modifier key on a keyboard, used to type capital letters and other alternate “upper” characters. There are typically two shift keys, on the left and right sides of the row below the home row.

Press “Command-Shift-3” to take a screenshot of the entire screen. Hold the “Control” key as well as the other keys to save the screenshot to the clipboard. You can then paste it into a document by pressing “Command-V.”

The keyboard shortcut to take a scrolling screenshot on a Mac is Command + Shift + 5. This shortcut will bring up the screen record function and you will see a menu bar appear at the bottom of your screen. Click on the Record Entire Screen button on the menu.

Capture scrolling content on Mac

Select Scrolling Capture in the app menu. Drag to select a scrollable area on your screen. Hit Start Capture and scroll down. Once you’ve captured the full scrollable area, hit Done.

There is not a native snipping tool for Mac like Windows Snipping Tool. To snip on Mac, press Shift + Command + 3. To capture a portion of your screen, you can press Shift + Command + 4, then drag the crosshairs over the section of your screen that you want to capture.

Open Snipping Tool

Select the Start button, type snipping tool in the search box on the taskbar, and then select Snipping Tool from the list of results.

To open the Snipping Tool, press the Start key, type snipping tool, and then press Enter. (There’s no keyboard shortcut to open Snipping Tool.) To choose the type of snip you want, press Alt + M keys and then use the arrow keys to choose Free-form, Rectangular, Window, or Full-screen Snip, and then press Enter.
