How to start ashes of ariandel

The NPC to start Ashes of Ariandel is no longer available at the Cleansing Chapel. All of the DLC is installed, and the option to play was available before beating the game. I’ve googled it and found several other people with this issue. Their solutions were to travel back to FL Shrine and he reappears.

Reach Level 70

As usual, From Software has designed Ashes of Ariandel to be an experience for high-level characters in Dark Souls 3. This means you‘ll be fighting tougher monsters, facing more difficult bosses, and, more importantly, finding gear designed for much higher-level characters.

ashes is chronologically before ringed city. Ashes is also a bit easier (though the friede fight is still brutal). that said, the coolest weapons (IMO) are in the ringed city. THAT said, ashes is about half the length of ringed city, so you can clear it a good bit faster.

The Ringed City is possibly the best DLC of the series – Bloodborne’s Old Hunters included. It’s challenging, intriguing and mysterious, like a good entry in the Souls series should be, but takes all of those factors to the max.

As you might expect, The Ringed City is the most challenging piece of content available within Dark Souls 3 designed for players who have reached level 100 plus and completed the base game or Ashes of Ariandel beforehand.

Combat Information – Sister Friede

Friede can be parried and backstabbed. Also, some attacks can turn her over or send her flying.

The Champion’s Gravetender and his Gravetender Greatwolf are the first of two Bosses you will face in Dark Souls 3’s Ashes of Ariandel DLC – and the only optional boss. The Champion’s Gravetender may be optional – but is required to defeat if players seek to join the Undead Matches and engage in arena PvP.

1 Nameless King

The Nameless King is, by far, the most challenging boss in Dark Souls III. Located at the Archdragon Peak, this boss appears after you ring the bell by the Great Belfry.

Gravetender alone is an easy target, but his rush can deal a lot of damage (spells can’t break this attack) and he can avoid them. If Greatwolf approaches, do not look on him and eliminate wounded Gravetender.

Champion Gundyr Information

You can summon Sword Master to help you fight this enemy. (Must have defeated Sword Master NPC outside of Firelink Shrine). Summon sign can be found just in front of his boss fog.

If you‘re familiar with the Souls games, your best chance would be to parry his attacks. The long, somewhat slow weapon gives you a clear sign of when he’s about to swing. With a little skill and luck, you should be able to get him to the second phase using only counter-attacks.

The Nameless King is one of the optional Bosses in Dark Souls 3. This boss appears on Archdragon Peak, after ringing the large bell. The King is an optional boss, and does not need to be beaten to complete the game.

Combat Information – Lorian

Weak to Frostbite, Lightning Damage and Magic Damage.

He can be parried, but he will only take counter damage for you cannot riposte him. You can riposte him after you stagger him.

Prince Lorian crawls around on his knees because he is weak and his mind is broken. His armor states that he bears his brothers curse. Lothrics soul states that he is cursed to link the flame. So, Lothric and Lorian bear the brunt of the curse together, like good bro’s.

The easiest way to win this battle is to hit Lorian from behind; when you do that, you damage Lothric as well. Do be wary of some of Lorian’s slash attacks, which reach a long way behind him. Unfortunately Lothric’s magic means you’re never really safe anywhere.
