What is the easiest way to remove linoleum flooring?
How do you remove vinyl floor tiles?
Heat one of the tiles with a hairdryer until the vinyl softens. Cut a diagonal line across it with a utility knife, and use a putty knife to pry up the pieces. Scrape up as much of the adhesive as you can with the putty knife while the adhesive is still soft from the heat.
Can I use an iron to remove linoleum?
If you’d prefer not to use water, you can use a hair dryer or iron to heat the adhesive beneath the tile. Do not lay the iron on the tile itself; instead, hold the iron or hair dryer two or three inches away from the floor to slowly heat the glue.
