How are fragrance oils made?
Fragrance oils are synthetic. They’re created with a mix of aroma chemicals and natural ingredients like essential oils, extracts, and resins. Just one fragrance oil can be made up of 40-80 materials – luxury perfumes are often made with 5 times that number.
How do you add scent to oil?
Add a few drops of fragrance oils to a plastic spray bottle, then fill with water. Shake the bottle well to mix the oil into the water. You can then spray 2-3 times into the air to spread the scent into any room.

Why are soy candles bad?
A candle using soy wax is processed (like other candles) and can have additives (like other candles) to make it burn. There’s no significant, scientifically backed evidence to prove that soy wax is in any way less harmful, or cleaner burning than other wax types.
How can I improve my hot throw?
Too large of a wick may burn too hot and actually burn off the fragrance, which also can lead to poor scent throw. Finding a wick that has a nice steady flame and creates a full burn pool of approximately 1/4″ to 1/2″ deep can help with achieving good scent throw.
What happens if you put too much fragrance oil in a candle?
Adding too much fragrance oil can cause the wax to become unstable, it becomes frothy, can become a fire hazard, and cause the flame to burn irregularly all without improving the candle’s hot scent throw. As the oil and wax mixture cools the excess fragrance oil will seep to the top of your candle.
What candle has the best throw?
Most times candles that have the best throw will contain spicy or sweet seasonal blends like Pumpkin or a deep rich floral like Gardenia. However, candles with a large surface area of melted wax and diameter of container will the best throw for most scents.
