How do you change the litter on a genie XL?

- Insert the scoop holder in the grooves on either side. Insert the refill (see instructions below).
- Pull the refill’s plastic tab and remove the outer rim. Start at the notch left by the tab, pull about one foot of film.
- Scoop clumps from litter box.
- Open the unit at the middle.
How often do you change the litter genie?
Each Litter Genie® Standard Refill cartridge lasts about two months with one cat and you‘ll know it’s time to replace it when you see the black line.
