How to cancel prometric exam

Can I cancel and/or reschedule my exam appointment via the Prometric Web site? Yes. Many exam appointments can be cancelled and/or rescheduled through the Prometric website. Click the “Find my Exam” button under the “Test Taker” tab on our website homepage, and search for the name of your exam.

What happens if I am absent or late for my appointment? If you miss your appointment, or arrive late and are not allowed to test, you will forfeit your exam fee(s).

How many times can I reschedule my exam with Prometric? From my experience you can reschedule the exam as many times as you want, as long as you do so at least 48 hours before your current appointment. I didn’t rescheduled my exam. You can reschedule the exam online or by calling the test center directly.

Request a Refund

The Prometric Refunds Committee will review requests and email decisions within 7 – 10 business days of receipt unless further research and/or documentation are required. Refund requests made via phone will not be accepted.

The fee for each practice exam is $30 and is payable online at the time you purchase the practice exam. Exams begin promptly at the time shown on the admission letter. Test centers open 30 minutes before testing begins. You should arrive on time to check in.

Here are some do’s and don’ts for the testing center:

You are allowed to bring soft earplugs or center-supplied tissues in the test room. Any clothing or jewelry items allowed to be worn in the test room must remain on your person at all times. Removed clothing or jewelry items must be stored in your locker.

Weapons are not allowed in any Prometric Test Center.

Such items include, but are not limited to: outerwear, hats, food, drinks, purses, briefcases, notebooks, watches, cell phones, electronic devices, or wearable technology.

Prometric takes our role of providing a secure test environment seriously. During the check-in process, we inspect any and all eyeglasses, jewelry and other accessories to look for camera devices that could be used to capture exam content. Please do not wear other jewelry to the test center.

If you’re asking about during the actual exam – the answer is no. No food or liquids are allowed in the testing room. But during the break, you can access your locker for a drink or snack.

Reschedule/Cancel Policy

There is no fee to reschedule or cancel an appointment if the change is made more than 2 days prior to your appointment. If an appointment is cancelled in less than 2 calendar days of your appointment, you will forfeit your entire fee.

In order to be admitted into the Prometric testing center, you must bring a valid and current (nonexpired) form of government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license or passport). Your name on the ID must match the name on your scheduling notification.
