Who is Nic Kerdiles?
Nicolas Kerdiles was born on 11 January 1994, in Lewisville, Texas, USA, and is a professional ice hockey player, known for playing in the National Hockey League (NHL) for various teams. He’s also played in the American Hockey League (AHL) and is currently an unrestricted free agent.
The Net Worth of Nic Kerdiles
As of early-2020, Nic Kerdiles’ net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through his career in professional ice hockey.
While he’s gained some attention from being a part of a major sports league, his fame has elevated significantly thanks to his fiancé, actress Savannah Chrisley. He probably benefits from her net worth too, estimated at over $1 million thanks to success in the entertainment industry.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Nic grew up in Texas, though when he was six years old, his family moved to settle in Irvine, California. During his time there, he discovered the sport of hockey, becoming very interested and training a lot during his youth. He eventually became a part of a minor ice hockey team based in Los Angeles.
In 2007, he experienced his first competition as his team joined the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, designed to give children an opportunity for international competition in ice hockey. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, becoming a part of their ice hockey team, the Wisconsin Badgers, which competed in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The university is considered one of the Public Ivies of the US, having educational quality comparable to that of the prestigious Ivy League.
Professional Ice Hockey
Kerdiles enjoyed much success with the Badgers, as during his freshman year, he helped his team win the Western Collegiate Hockey Association championship, earning them the Broadmoor Trophy. For his performance, he was named as the Men’s Ice Hockey Most Valuable Player of 2013. Following his success, he opted to no longer continue his run with the team, ending his eligibility with the NCAA to sign a contract in the National Hockey League.
He signed an entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks, and began training with their affiliate in the AHL, the Norfolk Admirals, competing with the team in the 2014 Calder Cup playoffs.
Three years later, he played for the main roster of the Ducks against the Boston Bruins, becoming the first player from Orange County to compete for the team and performed adequately, leading him to be signed for a contract extension for a year. Before his contract was up, he was then traded to the Winnipeg Jets in 2018, in exchange for forward, Chase De Leo. He signed a one year contract with the Jets, and when his contract expired, became a free agent.
Fiancé – Savannah Chrisley
Nic’s fiancé rose to fame thanks to her family reality television show “Chrisley Knows Best”, which airs on the USA Network.
The series follows the lives of the family of real estate expert Todd Chrisley, who achieved a lot of success in Georgia. The show has been airing for seven seasons, with an eighth season set to be released in 2020. Savannah is the daughter of Todd and his wife Julie, and is known to be very active when it comes to beauty pageants, but has also experienced her share of accidents, particularly with vehicles.
The show has received mixed reviews during its run, with some of its better reviews comparing it to “Honey Boob Boo” or “The Osbournes”.
However, a lot of its critics gave it negative reviews for its obviously canned lines and its storylines taken from sub-par sitcoms. Apart from that, the family itself is a fun mix but it’s not anything new. Some have stated that the show is just the way of the network taking advantage of a crowd that has already been gathered, thanks to the popularity of “Duck Dynasty”.
Recent Endeavors – Savannah Chrisley
When Chrisley is not working on the show with her family, she often appears as a part of various television programs, mostly talk shows, to give updates about her life.
She’s been very open when it comes to her journey towards keeping fit and losing weight, as she professed to gain some weight as she got older.
In recent weeks, she’s also admitted to staying off the grid, and shutting herself off from the rest of the world due to growing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus. News about the disease has been giving her a lot of anxiety, especially as the number of cases in the US is increasing, with the Eastern seaboard being one of the most heavily hit along with Louisiana. Cases of coronavirus range from light flu-like symptoms or very dangerous symptoms akin to pneumonia.
Personal Life
Nic and Savannah had been dating for a couple of years before announcing their engagement in Christmas of 2018. However, the following year, numerous rumors about them splitting up spread across various media outlets. She later denied the rumors, confirming that they are still engaged but are taking a few steps back in their relationship. Despite that, both of them have admitted that they are still very much in love with each other. Nic called her the special someone in his life as well as his best friend. The couple still posts photos of each other from time to time.
