He had to live with his mother after his father abandoned them when he was young. After his mother married Melvin Adler, they moved to Los Angeles, California, and he was called Steven Adler. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley until he was 13, when he was transferred to live with his grandparents owing to his bad behaviour. He went to Bancroft Junior High School, where he met Saul Hudson, who would eventually be known as Slash in the music industry. After ninth grade, he returned to his parents and finished high school. Adler also began auditioning after learning to play the drums. Due to their inability to locate a suitable vocalist, Slash, Adler, and Duff McKagan dissolved.
In June 1985, Adler joined Guns N’ Roses. They started out playing in nightclubs before signing with Geffen Records in 1996. Their debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” was a huge hit in 1997, selling 28 million copies worldwide. After years of working with Guns N’ Roses, Adler rose to international prominence as the band’s composer in the 1990s. His heroin addiction, on the other hand, disrupted his work ethics and ability as a musician, leading to his dismissal from the band. After leaving Guns N’ Roses, Adler rejoined his old band, Road Crew, for a while. After that, he joined BulletBoys, although neither band was able to gain critical acclaim. Steven went on to form the band “Adler,” which he has been a member of since 2012.
