James Dixon “Jimmy” Barnes is a Scottish-born Australian rock vocalist.

How did Jimmy Barnes Meet Jane?

The two initially met when the Australian rocker played at the Australian National University. Her age was 21, while he was 23. After the concert, Jimmy and Jane, a former Canberra Girls Grammar student who now attends the university, were both asked to a friend’s home.

In 1973, Barnes began an apprenticeship with the South Australian Railways in a foundry, but his passion for music and that of his brother inspired him to join a band.

Less than a month after the Cold Chisel’s Last Stand tour concluded in December 1983, Barnes began his solo career.

More than any other artist, Barnes has had 15 solo albums debut at number one in Australia.

Barnes revealed his eighteenth solo studio album, My Criminal Record, in January 2019. It was published on May 17, 2019.

Barnes claimed to have started a rockabilly band in 2021 with Chris Cheney and Slim Jim Phantom.
