The police officers were shot in northeast Harris County. The incident took place on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 7:28 a.m. morning.
The suspect accused in the double shooting was also shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene near the Timber Ridge Apartments.
The shooter’s identity has been revealed as 31-year-old Deon Ledet. While two senior officers are William “Bill” Jeffrey and Michael Vance.

Officer Michael Vance was taken to the nearest medical facility after the incident.
According to reports, he is undergoing surgery and his condition is fairly stable.
Unfortunately, Senior Officer Jeffrey could not survive. He received multiple hits and was airlifted to the hospital and later died.
They were taken to the nearest Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Two officers who were shot were executing a warrant at a Houston apartment complex.
They were serving an arrest warrant on a narcotics case around 7:30 a.m.
The officers were welcomed to the apartment by a woman. After asking about the suspect, they were met with instant gunfire from inside.
The brave officers managed to save the woman and kids in the areas. However, they had to go through physical pain.
The shooting happened in unincorporated Harris County. Harris County Sheriff’s Office is handling a serious investigation as of lately.

Sergeant Vance is a part of the Houston Police Department’s Major Offenders fugitive warrant team.
Vance was hired in 1997 while his colleague late Officer Jeffrey was a 30-year veteran of the force.
Michael Vance’s age is 50 years old while his partner William “Bill” Jeffrey was 54 years of age.
