A boutique hotel, Hogmead is located on the border of the Hog Ranch, part of the Giraffe Centre. Hogmead has luxury accommodation in beautiful gardens, which are home to several families of warthogs. The house is fully hosted and offers personal service.
There are 6 en-suite double rooms, 2 on the ground floor and 4 on the 1st floor. The rooms are elegantly furnished.The house has 3 large sitting areas with lovely views over the grounds into the Giraffe Sanctuary and the Ngong Hills beyond. Food is grown in the kitchen garden or sourced from local farm produce, Lunch is usually a buffet, while dinner is a 3-course meal. The freshly prepared meals can be served in the dining room or under the stars. All dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. There is WiFi throughout. The gift shop has a selection of art. Massage, manicures and pedicures can be arranged.
Excursions to sites of interest in Nairobi can be arranged. Game drives in Nairobi National Park, and visits to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre are all on offer. Shopping trips and spa visits can also be arranged. Hogmead attained a place in Conde Nast Traveller’s Hot List of New Hotels in 2012.
