Who Is Dominique Boxley? Wife Of Anthony Fantano

Dominique Boxley is the wife of music reviewer Anthony Fantano, the needle drop.

Not much is known about Dominique Boxley, a conscious decision on her part and Fantano’s. This decision is because early in Fantano’s career, Boxley earned the ire of some of the Youtuber’s fans through no fault of her own.

The Needle Drop has one of the rabid fanbases on all of YouTube because of the opinionated nature of his videos. So, when Boxley appeared on his videos with her own opinions, a small fraction of his fans did not like that.

Thus, they attacked the couple, especially Boxley, in the comment section, leading to her discontinuing her semi-regular appearance.

However, it would be remiss of the article not to mention one of the biggest reasons Boxley was bullied. She is African American, and a small portion of Fantano’s fans, the intolerant ones, attacked her for that aspect of her being.

Though Fantano defended his lover and tried to fight back against the hate, Boxley had had enough, and she decided to no longer be a part of his videos.

Since then, Boxley has not made any appearances on Fantano’s videos, and he barely mentioned her. It got to the point that younger fans would be surprised to hear that Fantano was married, and they would have to be educated on why she no longer is a part of Fantano’s videos.

Fantano’s fans got a lot worse since then before they got better. There was a brief period where Fantano was associated with the Alt-Right.

He has been very openly left-leaning, as have most of his fans. However, the scumminess of some of his fans, or listeners, is not non-existent. This past August, some disgruntled fans of Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, two affiliates of the popular rapper Playboi Carti, leaked Anthony Fantano’s divorce papers on Twitter.

He had given Ken Carson’s X album a zero out of ten and Destroy Lonely’s No Stylist album a one out of ten. Fantano’s ratings infuriated not only the fans of the two artists but also Playboi Carti, who owns the recording label on which the two artists released their albums.

Anyone who knows anything about modern music can attest that Playboi Carti has a poisonous fanbase, and these fans released Anthony Fantano and Dominique Boxley’s divorce papers.

The divorce papers stated that Boxley was leaving Fantano for an undisclosed reason, while Fantano was the defendant. The release of the papers led to an uproar on Twitter, as people argued about the morality of the issue. Many people supported Fantano and sent him their condolences. After all, it was a breach of his privacy.

Once again, a small but vocal minority was happy that the Youtuber was suffering. They believed that Fantano deserved to suffer for his “bad” music takes.

These people were usually younger and didn’t have many critical thinking skills. To Fantano’s credit,  as someone well-accustomed to controversy, he didn’t address the subject and let it ride until it fell out of the trending page.

Since Dominique Boxley has not been vocal on the internet, she had nothing to say about the Twitter leaks and has avoided the discussion.

Anthony Fantano And The Needle Drop

The Needle Drop’s relevance has only been growing as the years go by, and many see Fantano as a serious reviewer.

Some consider the man the most influential music reviewer of our time. Though he does not have the power to make or break artists, nor does he want to, his opinions do hold weight.

Because his opinions are seen as so powerful, many people dislike him. Some of the attacks levied against him have to do with his race, claiming that as a Caucasian man, he has no business reviewing African American music.  Other people think his music taste just sucks and leave it at that. However, a few see his reviews for what they are: opinions.

Even Fantano ends each of his videos by stating that the comments made in the said video are all his opinions. Sadly, some people still have a hard time understanding that simple logic
