Harrison’s dad Jeff Burton is a racing commentator at NBC Sports. Before that, The Mayor took the racing world by storm when he won the Coca-Cola 600s in 1999 and 2001.
He also won the Southern 500 in 1999, making it one of the 21 NASCAR Cup Series victories throughout his career until 2014.
Jeff also knabbed 27 Xfinity Series wins, making him a trustable advocate of the sport for NBC. Hence, he joined the media house the same year NBC returned to covering NASCAR.
Burton senior is an analyst for NBC Sports’ NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series racing coverage. He regularly contributes to NASCAR America as an in-studio analyst.

Harrison Burton grew up in Huntersville, North Carolina with Paige around family business and a barn.

The Huntersville natives have mainly found success in stock car racing, including their youngest member, Harrison.
Harrison started his racing carer when he was two. He had received a go-kart, and the passion turned into quarter midget racing.
His first big win came when he was 12 after he won his first later model race. He later won super late model at New Smyrna Speedway in 2015.
Harrison then made his CARS debut in 2015 in Charlotte when he successfully ran six races out of ten. Likewise, he finished in third place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 31, 2022, breaking his record.
