Halsey is an award-winning American singer and songwriter. She first caught the attention of the public when she posted her songs on different social media platforms. Her debut EP, Room 93, was released in 2014 and her debut studio album, Badlands, was released in 2015. Biography, age and life of Halsey
Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, better known by her stage name – Halsey, was born on September 29, 1994. Her stage name “Halsey” is derived from her first name “Ashley”.
Halsey admitted that she was bullied while growing up. In high school, the musician was bullied because of her tattoos and shaved head. While struggling with her self and body image, her nude photos were stolen from her locker at school and shared around school. She was ridiculed by other students following this unfortunate incident.
In high school, she attended a concert of the group – Panic! At the disco where she got a unique bracelet that meant a lot to her. Unfortunately, she lost this bracelet when she was bullied at school. Later in life, after her fame, she met the band’s lead singer, and in response to her story, he gave her two bracelets and a bouquet of flowers.
When Halsey was 17, she decided to take her life, but she survived the suicide attempt. This attempt led to a 17-day hospitalization. After the incident, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a condition that his mother is also believed to be struggling with. Unfortunately, this led to her taking recreational drugs. Around this time, Halsey began dating a 24-year-old man who lived on a street coincidentally named “Halsey” in Brooklyn. She also began her career as a composer around this time.
Halsey’s suicide attempt also coincided with the time her music career really got started. The musician said performing and singing was another way to manage his bipolar symptoms. She also said that her condition and her life experiences made her a very empathetic person.
Halsey’s music is greatly influenced by her past and present life experiences and she enjoys telling stories with her music. While on the medical-themed talk show The Doctors, Halsey spoke to the public about her struggle with endometriosis — a disorder that causes painful, heavy menstrual flow as well as severe pelvic pain. She believes it was brought on by a miscarriage she had in 2015. She also revealed that she underwent surgeries to address her endometriosis disorder.
In addition to pursuing her music career, Halsey is actively involved in raising awareness for suicide prevention and advocating for victims of sexual assault. She pursues this passion with passion based on her personal life experiences.

Halsey was born to Chris Frangipane who works as a car dealership manager and Nicole Frangipane who worked as security at a hospital in Edison, New Jersey. Halsey’s parents had to drop out of school when they discovered her mother was pregnant, preferring to work many jobs to support the family.
Her family moved around a lot during her childhood and this never allowed her to settle down or make friends, because people never really knew her until her family was forced to move. She has two younger male siblings – Dante and Sevian.
