  • A Tunisian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date.

  • A tourist visa is issued to foreigners who visit for tourist purposes such as relaxation, recreation, sightseeing, holidays, and visiting friends or family members in Guyana.
  • If you wish to extend your stay, you must contact the Ministry of Home Affairs in Georgetown before your current visa expires. A maximum of two extensions of stay is allowed for one month each.
  • Visitors are required to leave the country once their stay expires.
  • Penalties for overstaying are severe, you could be faced with a large fine or even imprisonment. 
  • If you are traveling for the purpose of exploration, you’ll need to have a guide and appropriate vehicle provided by a local agency or an invitation letter from the tour organization.
  • Vaccinations against malaria, zika virus and dengue fever are required. 
  • It is advised that you take precautions while traveling.
  • US Dollars are more widely accepted in Guyana more than any other foreign currency.

  • The Guyana business visa is for Tunisians traveling to Guyana for business purposes.
  • An invitation letter from the company you will be visiting in Guyana should be provided. The address of the company and the dates of your visit should be stated in the letter.
  • If the company you are meeting with in Guyana will be responsible for your expenses while you are in the country, it should be stated in the letter.
  • The letter of invitation must indicate the type of business to be conducted in Guyana.
  • A letter from your employer in Tunisia stating awareness and allowance of your business travel for the duration of your time in the country.
  • If the applicant of this visa has been in business with this company before, proof of such events must be provided.
  • A certificate of business registration of your business partner in Guyana is required.
  • The business company in Guyana must be approved by the government of Guyana.
  • Applicants are not required to overstay the required duration of stay in Guyana.
