Who is Scottsdale City Councilman, Guy Philips? Guy Philips Biography and Wiki
Guy Philips is an American politician who is currently a member of Scottsdale City Council in Arizona. Previously, he served as the city’s vice mayor from 2013 to 2015.
He recently became a trending topic on social media and news platforms, following an anti- facemask Wednesday rally (June 24th) where he chanted the last words of George Floyd and Eric Garner, “I can not breathe!” Before taking off his face mask in front of a crowd of 200 people who participated in the “unmask” protest. The Republic of Arizona certified that Phillips used the hymn, commonly used during protests against black people’s police killing, in a move to oppose the new compulsory facemask policy implemented after a major increase in-the novel coronavirus cases in the city.
The parliament published a brochure on Facebook on Saturday, urging residents to oppose wearing mandatory masks. The protest was titled “Cut Us Mask” and suggested, “To put forward your best face, any AZ citizen who believes he is wearing a mask is a personal choice, not a task.” When questioned about his unlikely behavior he maintained that his memoir was “not connected” to Floyd and “did not mean disrespect at all.” However, he later came out to apologize and subsequently deleted his Twitter account.
