Guillermo García Cantú is a Mexican actor who is best known for his work in telenovelas. He began his acting career in 1986 when he was 26 years old. The Mexican actor began his career at the age of 25 years. He first appeared as a minor role in De Pura Sangre which was produced by Ernesto Alonso in 1985.
He got his breakthrough when he starred in the telenovela El Engano which was also produced by Ernesto Alonso. He shares credits with Erika Buenfil in 1986. He has had a growing career which has helped him star in more than 20 telenovelas. His stand-outs acts include: When love arrives (1989), Marimar (1994), La intrusa (2001) and Amar Otra Vez (2004), among others. Technically, Guillermo is one of the telenovela villains par excellence.

In 2018 he participated in the telenovela Por Amar sin ley under the production of José Alberto Castro, leaving aside the antagonistic roles, playing the lawyer Alonso Vega.
