Greg Kading Documentary | Movie

In 2015 the documentary Murder Rap: Inside The Biggie and Tupac Murders, which is an adaptation of Greg Kading’s book of the same name, was released. Many theories have been advanced about what actually happened the evening Tupac was killed, and who may have been responsible for his murder.

However, in the documentary, Kading blatantly alleges that Diddy paid Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis $1 million to kill both Shakur and Knight. P. Diddy is a successful music producer, rapper, actor, and entrepreneur now worth upwards of $700 million.

Greg Kading Unsolved

The documentary Murder Rap: Inside The Biggie and Tupac Murders also served as the basis of the USA’s true-crime drama Unsolved: The Murders Of Tupac And The Notorious B.I.G. The real Greg Kading is portrayed by Josh Duhamel in the series. Unsolved chronicles the two major police investigations by LAPD Detective Greg Kading (Josh Duhamel) into the murders of Tupac Shakur (Marcc Rose) and Biggie Smalls (Wavyy Jonez).

Greg Kading Book

Kading self-published the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of the Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations. In his book, he tabled new evidence in the rap superstars’ murders that he said implicated entertainment mogul Sean Combs and CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight. According to MediaBistro.com, the release prompted “a new round of explosive media coverage about the unsolved killings.”

P Diddy (Sean Combs) responded to the allegation via emails to the Los Angeles local reporters saying that “this story is pure fiction and completely ridiculous.” Knight has not addressed the claim. Lil’ Cease, who is a rapper and childhood friend of Smalls, told radio host Sway Calloway on the “Sway In The Morning” show that he didn’t believe Combs had ordered Tupac to be shot and killed as Kading alleged in his book.

Further, Murder Rap also details what Kading described as the behind-the-scenes failure by the LAPD to arrest Shakur’s and Smalls’ killers. The families of Shakur and Smalls have thus far not responded to the allegations.

Kading no doubt made some good income from his salary as an LAPD detective during his time there. However, it is speculated that it is after leaving the service that he has made the bulk of his current fortune.
