Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting
Greece
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Greek Visa.
- Your passport and copies of your previous visas – valid for at least 3 months beyond return date – are required. Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
- Correctly filled visa application form signed by the applicant.
- 2 photos must be attached; the photo should be of passport format – a recent whole-face capture with a light background. The photographs must not be older than 6 months.
- Original bank statement covering the last six months prior to the period of visa application.
- Travel medical insurance confirmation of minimum 30,000 € coverage within Greece and the entire Schengen area
- A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Greece and itinerary
- Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card. (if applicable)
- Means of subsistence – Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Greece
- Flight Itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Greece
- Travel itinerary.

Greece Tourist Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of visiting Greece for leisure and tourism purposes.
- Foreigners are allowed to visit their friends or relatives who are permanent residents of the country.
- If you are visiting someone in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and should also contain valid contact information of the host.
- Applicants who are employed are required to present a letter from their employer. The letter should specify the applicant’s date of recruitment, job position, duration and purpose of the visit.
- If you are not a citizen of Namibia, you are required to submit a valid Namibian residence permit during the visa application process.
- Minors should provide the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling with one or none of their parents, a notarized consent signed by both their parents is required.
- Foreigners are not allowed to be paid for the services they render while they are in the country or take up paid employment.
- Namibians in the country can attend festivals and events during their trip.
- Bank statement for the last six months.

Greece Business Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- The Business Visa allows a foreigner to live in Greece and establish or invest in a business in the country.
- During business meetings between the host company and the sponsoring company, business contracts can be signed and negotiated.
- Foreigners can attend business seminars, trade fairs, and conferences while they are in the country.
- Invitation letter from the Greek company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit.
- A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel.
- If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided.
- Business bank statement of the latest 6 months.
- Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint-stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents.
- Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
- Foreigners in Greece are not permitted to receive payments for the services they receive while they are in the country.
Greece Medical Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Greece to seek and receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their country.
- A certificate from the applicant’s medical doctor in Namibia is required. The certificate should state the medical history of the patient and what kind of medical treatment is needed.
- An official document from the receiving medical institution in Greece confirming that it can perform the specific medical treatment required by the applicant.
- A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Greece, confirming the date of your appointment as well as your medical situation.
- Proof that the applicant can afford the medical costs and any extra cost that may arise is required.
- Any other correspondence between the sending medical doctor and the receiving medical institution is required.
- Minors applying for this visa must provide the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling with one or none of their parents, a letter of consent signed by both their parents should be provided.
- A local medical report.
- Receipt of paid visa application fees should be provided.
- During your time in the country, you are not allowed to be gainfully employed or take up a course of study.
- You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
- Payment receipt of medical fees.
