Glo Limited is one of Africa’s fastest growing telecom companies. Glo can be considered as one of the leading mobile service providers in Nigeria. The company also has a presence in the Republic of Benin and has recently acquired licenses to operate in Ghana and Ivory Coast.
Most mobile devices can automatically retrieve Glo browsing or Glo GPRS settings on first use. However, this does not work in every case.
Glo data plan
The Globacom transmits the data plan to both androids and all network gadgets from 40MB to 180GB. A USD code is used to subscribe to any data package that the customer can afford and that is valid for a specific period of time. However, the network has made drastic changes since April 2017, cutting its data bundles by 50%. Previously, customers could get 3.2GB Glo data plan for just N1,000, but now with N1,000 you only get 1.6GB.
How to check data balance
In order for a customer to find out how much data is stored on their device, a specific USSD code is used. To check your data balance on the Glo network, dial * 777 # then choose from the various options in the pop-up menu. For example, dial 1 to get 3G data service. 2 to get 4G LTE service; Enter 4 to manage data. Select 4 to check data balance.
