The stories have whirled around, and former footballer Michael Owen’s eldest daughter, at age 19, has decided to participate in Love Island 2022. However, her father might not be happy about it.
Just weeks after denying her participation in the show, Gemma Owen has been revealed as one of the Love Island 2022 candidates.
The 19-year-old model, the daughter of England footballer Michael Owen and his wife Louise Bonsall, had previously stated that her famous father “wouldn’t be very thrilled” if she returned and announced, “I’m going on Love Island.”
She also earlier stated that she was ‘not looking for love,’ but Gemma has since altered her mind, no doubt causing her father stress.
The news comes less than 2 months after Gemma stated that she would not participate on Love Island.
‘I watch Love Island every summer, but it’s not something I would consider doing right now since I am not searching for love,’ the singer said in an exclusive interview with MailOnline.

Michael Owen daughter Gemma Rose Owen is an international horse rider and owns a Bikini brand, as per her Instagram profile. She has two Instagram profiles: gemowendressage_ and gemowen_1.

Gemma also competed in the European Championships in 2021. She is a fashion entrepreneur who describes her mother as her best friend.

Gemma created OG Beachwear earlier this year, and her swimsuit will be featured on the television show, which millions of people view.
Rose grew up at her father’s racing yard, Manor House Stables in Flintshire, Cheshire, just over the Welsh border, and appears to be wonderfully grounded.
