Gedion Mutiso Children: Does Gedion Mutiso Have Kids?

First elected MP for Machakos County’s Yatta seat, Gedion Munyao Mutiso, has passed away.

According to his family, Mutiso passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in Nairobi while receiving cancer treatment. He was 91.

The seasoned congressman formerly served in the military as a Corporal before resigning on the basis of compassion in response to the harsh treatment of Africans by the British administration.

Born on March 31, 1932, Mutiso had been active in politics since 1955. He steadfastly opposed swearing and represented Kenya in the Africa Trade Union Confederation in 1969.

Up until he fell ill in the latter half of 2022, Mutiso—Yatta’s longest-serving MP—led a tranquil life and was active in both community initiatives and the Catholic church.

Before his death, Gedion Mutiso had children. After being charged with sedition, Mutiso was given a nine-year and six-month prison term in the Naivasha Maximum Prison.

He was re-elected by the citizens of Yatta in 1983 to serve as a member of Parliament after his release, a position he held until 1997.

He also worked as an assistant minister in the home affairs, education, health, agriculture, lands, and housing ministries during this time.
