Gavin McGregor Rossdale, a British musician who was born on October 30, 1965, is best known for being the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock group Bush. He was essential in helping to create Bush in 1992.
Rossdale joined Institute as their main singer and guitarist when the band disbanded in 2002, and he then explored a solo career. When Bush reformed in 2010, he resumed his position in the group. He received the 2013 Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy.
Together with Sacha Puttnam, Rossdale founded the pop group Midnight in the 1980s. The band didn’t have much success after releasing two songs, in spite of playing in locations like Ireland and serving as openers for performers like Big Country and Cyndi Lauper.
Rossdale then joined the band The Little Dukes, despite the fact that at the time their music didn’t suit his taste. He went to New York and Los Angeles in search of a record deal, and by chance, he ran upon a future Bush manager. Sadly, the group split up in the fall of 1991.
