Fred Savage is an American actor, producer and director. Although he has appeared in several movies and TV shows, he is best known for his role in The Golden Years as Kevin Arnold. The award-winning show ran from 1988 to 1993 on ABC. At age 13, Fred was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Emmys.nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Kevin Arnold, making him the youngest actor to be nominated for these awards (at the time).
Fred also appeared in Morningstar/Eveningstar, Dinosaurs! – A fun time travel! , The Boy Who Could Fly, Crime Story, Inside Out, Little Monsters, Austin Powers In Goldmember, Family Guy, Kim Possible, Justice League Unlimited and The Twilight Zone. He also appeared in the iconic 1987 film The Princess Bride as The Grandson.
After The Golden Years, Fred Savage was cast in the lead role in several sitcoms, including Crumbs, Working and The Grinder, however, they were all short-lived. In order to take on more challenging roles, he played a feminizing teacher on Boy Meets World and a serial rapist on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
He was cast as a gay literary agent in the Netflix series, Friends from College. The show was a success and received good reviews. In 2018, he began hosting Child Support, a game show on ABC, starring Ricky Gervais.

Fred Aaron Savage was born on July 9, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois to Lewis and Joanne Savage. His father was an industrial real estate broker and consultant. Although he was born in Chicago, he grew up in Glencoe before the family moved to California. He attended Brentwood School, a private coeducational day school in the Westside neighborhood of Los Angeles. He then attended Stanford University where he received a bachelor’s degree in English in 1999. While in college, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
