  • This visa is issued to foreigners visiting France temporarily to seek and receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their country.
  • A medical report from the applicant’s doctor in Egypt stating the nature of ailment of the applicant and the reason the treatment is best gotten in France is required.
  • A letter of invitation from the medical institution in France willing o take care of the applicant is required. The letter should state the proposed length of treatment, medical costs, and appointment date.
  • The applicants should provide payment receipts of the medical fee.
  • A guarantee letter from the applicant assuring that he/she has the capacity to cope with the extra medical costs should be provided.
  • A certificate from the national medical authority for the incapacity of the country to offer the appropriate medical treatment for the applicant’s condition is required.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the original copy of the minor’s birth certificate should be provided. Also, a letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor is required.
  • Registration certificate of the patient in the national list of organs transplant issued by the medical and surgical team performing the transplant, if necessary, should be provided.
  • This visa does not allow you to work or enroll in any of the country’s academic institution.

  • The Student Visa is for foreigners who have been accepted into any of the academic institutions in France.
  • Applicants who have not been granted admission into an institution in the country will not be granted this visa.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution the applicant has been accepted to, written on the institution’s letterhead should be provided.
  • Certificates and transcripts obtained from schools previously attended by the applicant are required.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate carrying both names of the parent should be provided. If you will be traveling without either of your parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents is required.
  • International students in France are permitted to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
