Emily Bett Rickards Wiki
Emily Bett Rickards received training at the Vancouver Alida Vocal Studio. Rickards made her professional debut in 2009 by playing the lead role in Nickelback’s music video for the song “Never Gonna Be Alone.”
Through the crowdsourcing apparel marketplace Represent.com, Rickards launched a T-shirt campaign in 2016 to aid the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA).
The charity received all of the campaign’s earnings. Her character suffered from paralysis from the waist down due to a shooting event during the fourth season of Arrow. She eventually managed to walk again with the aid of a prototype microchip, though.
In order to promote improvements in the care of spinal injuries, Rickards worked with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to produce a public service announcement (PSA).
The Vancouver Film School announced the creation of the “Emily Bett Rickards Acting Scholarship” in February 2019. This fellowship, which was established in collaboration with Rickards, offers $250,000 in partial funding for additional students and full money for the school’s acting programs. The recipients of the scholarship will be chosen with Rickards’ input.
