The failed bomber who died in the explosion at Liverpool Women’s Hospital has been identified by police as Emad Al Swealmeen. Detectives suspected him of being the cab passenger who was carrying the device.
The 32-year-old was supposedly a resident at a residence on Sutcliffe Street, where several other people were detained. He had lately rented a second home on Rutland Avenue, where officers uncovered bomb components.
According to the ‘Independent,’ Al Swealmeen did not know MI5 or counter-terrorism police before preparing a second terrorist attack on Britain in less than a month.’
Interestingly, the terrorist was only killed by an explosion soon before 11 a.m. on Sunday, which destroyed a cab and allowed the driver to flee with his life. But, the explosion was deemed a terrorist act by the police and, they suspect Al Swelmeen’s equipment failed to explode correctly or shut down prematurely due to the mishap.
Following the incident, the assailant was then picked up near the Rutland Avenue residence and transported to Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
