The unexpected result of Ella Henderson’s X Factor journey startled a lot of viewers and famous people. Even host Dermot O’Leary admitted that her resignation was one of the biggest surprises in the program’s history.

Ella’s career took off after the release of “Ghost,” the chart-topping song she co-wrote with renowned composer and producer Ryan Tedder.
The song immediately topped the UK Singles Chart after its release on June 8, 2014, and it remained there for an incredible eight weeks. It was profitable enough outside of the UK to earn platinum certifications in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. On the Official Charts Company’s list of the top 100 singles in the UK throughout the decade, “Ghost” actually peaked at number 84.
The follow-up single from Ella, “Glow,” was released on October 5, 2014, and it reached a respectable high position of seven on the UK Singles Chart. It improved her standing as a budding star in the music industry.
