ABSTRACT
There has always been argument between the two main determinants of behavior, “nature” and “nuture”. The school of nature declares that a person behaves the way they do and succeed in their endeavors because of their genetic make up. But the nuture school disagrees and postulates that a person is who and what he or she is because of the environment that person had grown up in.
These schools of thoughts aren’t wrong in their postulations, nature and nuture does affect a person, which is why in Education, the location of a school is of great importance in achieving academic excellence.
This research narrows it down to how location and sex difference affects the academic achievement in Economics of secondary school students. Location of the school bends to the nuture theory of environment and its effect on individuals, in this case, the academic achievement of secondary school students in Economics; while the sex difference bends to the nature theory of how DNA has a lot of effect on the success of individuals. In this case, how the different sexes affect the academic achievement of secondary students in Economics.
