American actor, Douglas Anthony “Doug” Hutchison, has an estimated net worth of $3 million. Best known for his roles in “The Green Mile”, as corrections officer Percy Wetmore, as Horace Goodspeed in “Lost” and as Davros in “24”. Doug owns the Dark Water Inc. production company.
One of Hollywood’s shoe-ins for deft portrayals of creepy, underhanded, Machiavellian types with an anarchic bite, Doug Hutchison distinguished himself with two career-defining portrayals in the late ’80s: he played Obie, a member of a sinister student league at an all-boys’ Catholic school, in The Chocolate War. A classically trained performer who received his formal education at Juilliard, Hutchison later studied drama one-on-one under the tutelage of legendary acting coach Sanford Meisner.
Within a few years of his onscreen debut in 1988, Hutchison’s screen activity somewhat declined, getting work in films like The Lawnmower Man and Love Always. By the late 90s Hutchison had rebounded, with in films like The Green Mile, I Am Sam, and The Salton Sea. Hutchison was born on May 26, 1960 in Dover, Delaware.
In May 2011, Hutchison married 16-year-old pop singer, Courtney Alexis Stodden in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to the Clark County Nevada Marriage Bureau, both marriage license applicants must be at least 18 years of age. However, the bride’s mother signed a consent form permitting the early marriage.
