NFL: Did Joe Thomas Lose Weight?

NFL player Joe Thomas lost weight after he retired. He wasn’t always fit for the line. His road to reaching his playing weight of 325 pounds may have been more unexpected than his subsequent off-season weight-loss makeover.

Joe said, “It was easy for me to shed the first 20, 30, or 40 pounds once I retired. I just reduced my caloric intake to eat like a regular person. But I had to eat more wisely after that. I learned my optimal protein, carb, and fat ratio as I kept track of my meals.”

“That was a major, enormous thing for me to realize while tracking things on the app: “Wow, this one food has so much added sugar.” Low carb but flexible with some intermittent fasting has proven to be my best approach. My main advantage of fasting is skipping breakfast, which was 800-1,000 calories.”

The athlete added, “Now, eating proteins and fats fills me. But whenever I consume carbs, my hunger merely increases. On Christmas Day, My wife produced a stack of 10 pancakes, which I polished down, burning almost 3,000 calories. I felt hungry again after two hours.”

Joe Thomas Before And After Photos, Fat To Fit Transformation

Joe Thomas has been posting several before and after photos on his social media sites where he transformed from fat to fit.

He told more about his weight loss journey, saying, “I discovered that a lot of the inflammation I was experiencing was also caused by the sweets and the high-calorie foods I was consuming in large amounts. I had heard individuals like Tom Brady and others discuss anti-inflammatory diets and how specific foods affect your health, but I always felt it was a bunch of nonsense.

“They seemed to me to be witch doctors. But sure enough, as soon as I switched to a low-carb diet, my knees began to feel better. I no longer had the everyday edema that I went around with. My knee discomfort was no longer present.”

Joe said, “My joints are now more sensitive when I workout. I engage in what may be referred to as bodybuilding lifting. I normally keep the rep schemes higher. I work out my single joints a lot. I also developed a liking for riding and swimming. I should do low-impact cardio because I’m a larger guy.”
