Dick Haley Children: Who is Dick Haley’s Son Todd Haley?

Dick Haley, a Midway native, oversaw the Steelers’ personnel division from 1971 through 1990, practically concurrently with coach Chuck Noll’s employment. The Steelers won Super Bowls at the end of the 1974, 1975, 1978, and 1979 seasons.

Under Haley’s tenure, the Steelers chose seven players who would go on to become Hall of Famers (or were signed as undrafted rookies).

Together with Bill Nunn, Art Rooney Jr., and Noll, Haley took part in the storied 1974 Steelers draft, which is widely referred to as the best team class in NFL history.

Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth, Mike Webster, and Donnie Shell all attained Hall of Fame status from the draft class (Shell was signed as an undrafted free agent after the draft ended).

Dick Haley played six NFL seasons with the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, and Steelers, mostly on defense. He was a running back at Pitt from 1956 to 1958. Between 1961 and 1964, Haley played with the Steelers, starting 39 of his 49 games and recording 13 interceptions.
